About
Roadrunner Works

Hi, I'm Brent Franques.

A man with glasses smiling while kneeling in front of a service vehicle with a logo and contact information for Roadrunner Works, a backflow testing and irrigation repair company.

I started Roadrunner Works because I saw a gap in how residential backflow testing and irrigation services were being handled in this area. Homeowners were getting notices from their city, calling around, struggling to get a callback – and then just hoping whoever showed up knew what they were doing.

I grew up in Texas. I'm a father of four. I know what it's like to have a list of things that need handling and not enough hours in the day. So I built Roadrunner Works around the idea that a required annual service shouldn't add stress to your life — it should just get done.

I work exclusively in residential neighborhoods along the I-35 corridor — San Marcos, Kyle and New Braunfels. No commercial work, no stretching across the whole state. Just the communities I know, done right.

Licensed by the State of Texas. Insured for your protection.

Backflow testing isn't something just anyone can do. It requires a state license issued through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) — and not every provider you find online has one.

I'm licensed as both a Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester and a Licensed Irrigator in the State of Texas. When I test your backflow preventer and file your compliance report, it's done correctly and it counts.

Irrigation License: LI27839

Backflow Prevention Tester License: BP24031

Roadrunner Works is fully insured. You can invite us onto your property with confidence.

What working with us actually looks like.

We answer the phone. We show up when we say we will. We explain what we did and make sure you know your report has been filed before we leave your neighborhood.

That might sound like the baseline – but based on what we hear from customers who called someone else first, it isn't always.

We work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and we keep our schedule focused enough that we're not rushing from one side of the metro to the other. When you're on our schedule, you have our full attention.

Why Residential Only

We focus on residential – and nothing else.

Commercial backflow testing comes with more complexity, more liability, and a completely different set of requirements. Restaurants, hospitals, office buildings — that's a different business.

We chose to focus on homeowners because that's where we can do the best work, build real relationships, and show up consistently year after year. Most of our customers rebook annually. That's the kind of business we're building.
